Saturday night see the eagerly anticipated return of Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra; after his sell out appearance at Oakley Hall in 2006.
In 1987 Jools formed The Jools Holland Big Band comprising entirely of himself and Gilson Lavis. This has gradually metamorphosed into the current 18 piece Rhythm and Blues Orchestra which currently consists of 1 pianist, 1 drummer, 2 female vocals, 1 guitar, 1 bass guitar, 1 organ, 2 tenor saxophones, 2 alto saxophones, 1 baritone saxophone, 3 trumpets and 4 trombones.
Jools and the Rhythm and Blues Orchestra now plays an average of 100 live shows a year, touring Britain and the world to audiences of 500,000.
